Martha Jeffries is an award-winning director, producer, and climate communication expert based in Te Whanganui a Tara Wellington, New Zealand.
With a career that spans the globe, Martha has produced television in over 35 countries across all seven continents and has lived and worked in Stockholm, Sweden, and New York City, USA. Martha was a director on the Emmy Award-winning climate series Years of Living Dangerously (National Geographic), developed James Cameron’s OceanXplorers (Disney+, National Geographic), and executive produced Dynamic Planet (PBS/Arte and Sky Open).
A leader in climate communications, Martha has been an executive advisor and founding board member of several influential non-profits including Good Energy, a consultancy focused on getting more and better climate stories into Hollywood. Martha has consulted extensively with local governments in New Zealand and spoken on climate storytelling at The Explorers Club NYC, UN World Oceans Day, Nexus Global and The Vatican.
